Natalie Tan

Natalie Tan started as a Direct Recruiter when she first joined Resource Solutions. Since then, she has been promoted to senior recruitment partner. She talks about the culture, what she enjoys most about her job, and the opportunities in recruitment for someone considering a career in RPO.

How did you come to work at Resource Solutions?

I joined Resource Solutions in 2017 having previously held roles in both agency and in-house 360 recruitment roles. Starting in a Direct Recruiter role, I was promoted to Recruitment Partner and am now a Senior Recruitment Partner with the MUFG account in Singapore.

As Senior Recruitment Partner I have responsibility for stakeholder management, team management and am heavily involved in operational areas such as finance, capacity management, process improvement for the account.

How do you find working on-site?

The Resource Solutions on-site recruiters are well embedded into the client ecosystem and live and breathe the values of the client as well as those of Resource Solutions. Sometimes the culture is quite different, and juggling client needs can be quite challenging, but this is part of the learning too.

The Resource Solutions culture revolves around being client-focused, dedicated, united, proud, and inclusive. These values are not forced by the company at all. They don’t need to be as they already exist at some level within our client’s culture.

What do you tell your friends about your experience at Resource Solutions?

The experience has been positive so far. You are recognised and rewarded for your achievements through quarterly high-achiever awards, global incentive trips and regular kudos from your managers. There is also opportunity for internal moves across account, and internationally once the boarders reopen in region. The benefits have really improved since I joined, and the company-wide Covid-19 vaccination leave is really appreciated.

What is your next move?

I would like to move into an Account Manager role, and my manager is fully supporting me with this goal by providing me with additional exposure and building the needed steps into my objectives in my career development plan.
