About the Role:
The New Business Executive is a new role for the New Business Sales Team and together with the Sales Manager and wider sales GTM team. They will be responsible for increasing new business revenues to Resource Solutions through proactively sourcing new business across the EMEA landscape.
• This function includes identifying and mapping out target clients and then undertaking business development activities to engage and qualify target clients.
• The activity covers the management of the full spectrum of a sales cycle; from need creation to business justification, bid creation to solution presentation, and finally, negotiation and closure.
• Continual qualification of the engagement, embracing virtual teams, developing compelling client-focused propositions using RS capabilities
• Working closely with the sales manager and wider go to market Growth team developing leads, opportunities, and progressing campaigns
Key responsibilities include:
• Using a consultative, strategic approach and your networking skills, you will drive new business by generating meetings and client introductions
• To create and develop a personal pipeline of potential leads and opportunities
• You will develop new opportunities, working with the wider Growth GTM team for core services (RPO and MSP) as well as Advisory and Workforce Consultancy
• Be an active and engaged part of the sales and GTM team, bring your energy
• Maintain an understanding of the market – competitors and products – and contribute this knowledge to team strategy
• Identify clients' requirements and introduce appropriate solutions and proposals to deliver business results and solve resourcing challenges
• Build a pursuit plan, or target market to develop. Map out, network, and cultivate key client engagement at the right level, in the 'buying area'
• Track all activity and engagement on Sales CRM, Microsoft Dynamics
• Capitalise and positively exploit the leads developed and provided by marketing campaigns/engagements
• Promote and present RS’s service propositions utilizing all collateral available, like Showpad, Content Hub (SharePoint) etc.
• Identify key stakeholders/decision makers through email, phone calls, video calls, LinkedIn, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator/ Cognism to establish a portfolio of clients and a network of contacts.
• Use relevant data housed in Microsoft Dynamics to fully report on sales activity
• Work with the marketing team to input into marketing campaign activities to ensure prospective clients receive thought leadership such as market reports, and white papers, in addition to invitations to seminars, breakfasts, and other industry/client roundtable events.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Deliver against all key commission plan targets
• Ensure pipeline coverage and aim for three times the target in any given period.
• Aim for a <50% win rate
• Develop client deal bible plans & close-out plans
• Activity reporting updated monthly in preparation for sales meetings and 121 reviews.
• CRM accuracy on all levels
Skills / Characteristics Desired / Required:
• Background in new business development, solution, or equivalent sales/client-facing experience (2+ years)
• Ability to self-start and have the resilience to ride the waves in the world of new logo acquisition
• Ability to start a conversation from nothing and capture the prospect's imagination
• Ability to question effectively whilst gaining an understanding of the prospect's business needs.
• Be able to demonstrate and articulate a solid understanding of the dynamics of the market including market trends, industry issues, and key political forces.
• Understand the environment in which a prospect/client operates and maintain awareness of all activity within it.
• Chameleon-esque qualities to engage at any level in a business and connect and progress with influence
• Demonstrate resilience to keep going even when the doors are being closed in your face. Aptitude for interpreting client resource challenges and translating these into opportunities for consultancy solutions
• Understand the sales/buying cycle and be capable of managing a client’s needs from the beginning through to the point of order.
• Be able to let the client go once secured, to return to the market for the next deal
• Adept in time management, highly organized, and capable of prioritizing workload based on the client's demands
• Demonstrate dedication, drive, and passion with an ability to excel in a dynamic ever-changing environment. Persuasive and able to effectively use a wide range of influence, negotiation, and selling skills.
• Proficient in using IT systems e.g. Client Relationships Management systems and in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Adept with social media platforms and creating curiosity in the market
Who you are:
• Proven solution selling experience within new logo sales
• A proven natural curiosity to learn, understand and execute new skills
• Desired knowledge of Recruitment Process Outsourcing and the Talent acquisition landscape, however not critical
• Proven track record of creating, managing, negotiating, and closing deals.
• Strong understanding of the marketplace and the requirements of our clients.
